چکیده

Abstract Background The 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has been reported as pandemy and the number of patients continues to rise. Based on recent data, cardiac injury is a prominent feature disease, leading increased morbidity mortality. In present study we aimed evaluate myocardial dysfunction using transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) tissue Doppler imaging (TDI) in hospitalized COVID-19 patients. Methods Results We recruited 30 (56.7% male, 55.80 ± 14.949 years) who were with diagnosis infection. analyzed left ventricular (LV) right (RV) conventional TDI parameters at time hospitalization during course disease. Patients without any preserved LV ejection fraction (EF) included. TTE examination was performed all variables recorded retrospectively. observed that both RV echocardiographic similar when day admission hospital compared 5th Regarding analysis, demonstrated significant impairment septal lateral deformation ( P < 0.001). correlation analysis no marked between inflammation biomarkers. Conclusion Cardiac involvement an important infection but exact mechanism still undefined. Echocardiography essential technique describe provide new concepts for possible definitions dysfunction.

The influence of Asthma on Right Ventricular Systolic and Diastolic Function in Children according to Tissue Doppler Echocardiography

Introduction:Asthma is the most common chronic inflammatory condition affecting the lower airways among children. Asthma may influence right ventricular (RV) function and patients may develop right ventricular hypertrophy, pulmonary hypertension and cor pulmonale. The main objective of this study is to determine RV dysfunction in asymptomatic asthmatic children as detected by ti...

Biventricular and atrial diastolic function assessment using conventional echocardiography and tissue-Doppler imaging in adults with Marfan syndrome.

AIMS Previous studies provided evidence about left ventricular systolic and diastolic dysfunction in adults with Marfan syndrome (MFS). However, in the literature, data on right ventricular and bi-atrial diastolic function are limited. We aimed to investigate whether, in the absence of significant valvular disease, diastolic dysfunction is present not only in both ventricles but also in the atr...

Tissue Doppler Imaging versus Conventional Echocardiography in Evaluation of Cardiac Functions in Diabetes Mellitus

Background: Conventional echocardiography and tissue Doppler imaging have been highlighted to diagnose diastolic and systolic heart dysfunction. We aimed to compare tissue Doppler imaging with conventional echocardiography to diagnose heart dysfunctions in diabetes mellitus type 1 (DMT1) patients. <s...

Real-time 3D echocardiography and tissue Doppler echocardiography in the assessment of right ventricle systolic function in patients with right ventricular myocardial infarction.

AIMS Knowledge of right ventricular (RV) function may be crucial in diagnosis and proper management of patients with suspected acute myocardial infarction (MI). Standard echocardiography has several drawbacks, tissue Doppler echocardiography (TDE) and real-time three-dimensional echocardiography (RT3DE) could be used for evaluation of the RV performance. The purpose of this study was to assess ...
